The Power Breakfast

  • 1 palm full of organic wholegrain rolled oats
  • Organic raisins or sultanas
  • Organic nuts (mix of Brazils, almonds, walnuts, pecans, etc.)
  • 1 peeled, chopped, or grated organic apple
  • Organic strawberries (non-organic are highly sprayed) or organic frozen raspberries
  • Any in-season fresh fruit (e.g., apricot, mango)
  • Organic sheep’s or goats milk yogurt
  • Small amount Rice milk or almond milk, (or simply purified water)

You may want to add a half-teaspoon of Manuka honey but it should already taste great with the fruit and nuts! To save time on a busy morning, mix the nuts, oats, and sultanas in a container the night before. Then in the morning, just chop the fruit, add yogurt/milk or water and you have a great carbohydrate, protein, vitamin, antioxidant, mineral, phytonutrient, fiber loaded way to start your day!
